GREAT NEWS! Forest FM now has an additional transmitter on 98.9FM in Ferndown to compliment the Verwood transmitter on 92.9FM and this has greatly enhanced our coverage in the areas between Ferndown and the south coast. It's my privilage to present two programmes on Forest FM - 'Forest Folk' is broadcast on Mondays between 8.00 & 10.00 and '33 and a Third' with classic and rarely-heard album tracks from the last 60 odd years is on air on Fridays between 7.00 & 8.00. Both programmes can also be heard online here
If you can't hear Forest Folk live you can always listen-again at www.mixcloud.com/ForestFolk/ from Tuesdays and also 33 and a Third from Saturdays.
Forest Folk features a wide range of folk & acoustic music - from early 20th century wax cylinder recordings to the latest CD releases and downloads. Every week we have a local gig list which features tracks from top names in the folk world appearing in our area and from both established and aspiring local artistes. During the Coronavirus restrictions there are very few live gigs so, instead, each week I feature some live concert recordings from near and far. We have many thousands of listeners - both around the corner and across the world!
So if there's something that you would like to hear, or if you have your own music that you would like our listeners to hear, just let me know either at firstname.lastname@example.org or by writing to me at Forest FM, 2 Enterprise Park, Verwood BH31 6YS or message me on Facebook. Forest FM also has a Facebook page here
Most of my musical events have been postponed or cancelled due to Coronavirus restrictions on live entertaiment and worship although some have been rebooked for later in the year - do watch this space for the latest position! In the meanwhile I hope that these services with HMB will be able to take place:-
May 23 - Crowe Hill Methodist Church, near Ringwood (3.00)
May 30 - Three Legged Cross United Reformed Chapel Anniversary (2.30)
